Undated Newspaper clipping article most likely in the Mt. Ayr Record News in October 1949.

George Moler, son of Lucy and Lewis Moler, was born September 4, 1879, four miles south of Redding, and departed this life October 9, 1949, at a hospital in Iowa City at the age of 70 years, one month and five days.

He spent his entire life in the Redding vicinity. He was united in marriage March 21, 1919, with Grace Drummins, and to this union were born five children - Ruby Edwards, of Massena (Ia), Roxie Whitehead, of Harvard, Neb., Charles Lewis, of the U. S. Navy, John of Hastings, Neb. and Lester H., who preceded his father in death in 1919.

The deceased was not a member of any church or lodge. To do right was his motto and the Golden Rule was his standard of religion. He was a quiet and unassuming citizen and he loved his home and neighbors. He had lived his alloted time, his life work was complete, and he answered the final call without a murmur.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children, six grandchildren, Marjorie, Marvin, Barbara and Beverly Edwards, and Phyllis and Donald Saville, four sisters Clara (Utena Moller) Wells of Tingley, Carrie Miller of Redding, Blanche Hardy of Grant City, Mo., and Lily Hotchkiss, of Red Lodge, Mont., a brother Sell Moler, of Indiana, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, October 11, 1949, from the Methodist Church in Redding, conducted by the Rev. V. S. Bower. Interment was in the Redding Cemetery.
