Mr. PITTMAN joined the Advent Christian church six years ago. He was industrious, honest, kind in his family, and one of the best neighbors, the latter fact being attested by the unusually great number of persons who attended his funeral, which was conducted at 3 o'clock Sunday from the Evangelical church at Ringgold by Rev. S. C. WADDING. The Civil war veterans of the community attended in a body and buried their comrade with a soldier's honor [Ringgold Cemetery, Lotts Creek Township of Ringgold County, Iowa].
