OBITUARY - MRS. BLANCHE BOWERS

Clara Blanche BOWERS, daughter of J. H. and Louisa (sic) SUMMERS, was born December 13, 1882 and departed this life October 12, 1968, at her farm home near Tingley, at the age of 85 years. On May 21, 1918, she was united in marriage with M. L. BOWERS of Des Moines. At an early age, she became a member of the Christian church of Tingley and maintained this faith for the rest of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and two sisters. Those who survive are a sister, Louvisa (Mrs. George BLUNCK); a brother, Claude SUMMERS; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held October 14 from the Christian church in Tingley conducted by the Rev. M. J. WILKINS. Mrs. John ENGLAND served as organist and casketbearers were Franklin NICHOLS, Earl TROXELL, Jack ENGLAND, Harold BROWN, Don KINNE and Bill BRECKENRIDGE. Burial was in the Tingley cemetery.
