NOTICE of DEATH.

--DIED--Jas. T. TODD, of consumption, at his residence in Grant township, Ringgold county, Iowa, on May 17, 1886, in his 29th year.

He was one of the most successful young men in Ringgold county, and if he had been blessed with continued good health, would have stood in the front ranks of business and wealth. But he began failing a good while ago, and his decline was steady until the end was reached last Monday. It is a serious loss to any community to lose so enterprising and progressive a man as he, and he will be sadly missed by friends as well as relatives. He was followed to his last resting place by a large throng of sorrwing (sic) people. He carried a $2,000 policy in the Bankers' Life Insurance Company, which with his other property will place his wife and two children beyond the reach of the gaunt wolf.
