OBITUARY - GLADYS (GARDNER) STRANGE

Gladys STRANGE, 76, of Diagonal died July 22, 2005, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, at the United Church of Diagonal. The Rev. John BERAN officiated the service. Burial was in Diagonal Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Marlin FOGLE Recreation Area at Diagonal. Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home in Diagonal had charge of arrangements.

Mrs. STRANGE, daughter of Nina (ARTHUR) and John GARDNER, was born September 17, 1928, in Lenox. On February 8, 1946, she married Robert F. STRANGE in Red Oak. She worked at the TV Shop, Places and Taylor Fiberglass.

Survivors include her husband, Robert STRANGE of Diagonal; son, Robert (wife Barb) STRANGE of Mount Ayr; brother, Eldon GARDNER of Creston; three sisters, Doris WILLIAMSON and Klina (husband Jack) THOMPSON, all of Creston, and Betty COOPER of Council Bluffs; four grandsons, Scott (wife Mindy) BEBOUT, Todd STRANGE, Jason BEBOUT and Jim (wife Suzy) STRANGE; six great-grandchildren, Trey and Will STRANGE, and Cori, TANLEY, Mikayla and Haley BEBOUT; and two sisters-in-law, Betty (husband Don) TELLEFSEN of California and Athena STRANGE of Mount Ayr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Steve STRANGE; grandson Kenny CARSON; two sisters, Darleen PORTER and Pauline McAULEY; brother Lloyd GARDNER; and sisters-and brother-in-law, Lela "Gerri" (husband Art) GEORGE, Wilma (husband Harry) JONES, Glen (wife Nina) STRANGE, Raymond (wife Dot) STRANGE, Jack (wife Lois) STRANGE, Elbert STRANGE and Delbert (wife Hilda) STRANGE.
