OBITUARY - WILLIAM MARTIN STEPHENS.

William Martin STEPHENS, son of Abe and Belle STEPHENS, was born August 24, 1881, and passed away at the hospital in Iowa City, Iowa, December 24, 1932, aged 51 years and four months.

He was married to Mary SHEPPARD on February 12, 1904. To this union were born two sons, Dwight of Maloy and Merle of Mount Ayr.

Mr. STEPHENS spent a greater part of his life in Ringgold county. In 1911 he moved to Ottawa, Kan., where he farmed for a time, then his health began to fail and he moved to LeRoy, Kan., where he operated a dry goods store and post office. But for the past two years he has been traveling here and there in search of health, but to no avail. He leaves to mourn his passing his two sons, one granddaughter, Martina Marie; three brothers, two sisters and two half-sisters, besides other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Rhoades Funeral Home Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery at Mount Ayr.
