OBITUARY - DAVID A. STABE

1931 - 2007

An engineer who worked for Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, David Allen STABE, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, at his home in Vancouver [WA]. He was 58.

Mr. Stabe was born March 20, 1946, in Redding, Iowa. He attended high school in Sisters, Ore., and served in the Navy during the early 1970s. He attended New Life Friends Church and enjoyed riding motorcycles, politics and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel, at home; two sons, Jason of Frederickburg, Iowa, and Derrick of Portland; one stepson, Calvin STARKEY of Minneapolis, Minn.; one stepdaughter, Jena GIBSON of Vancouver; one sister, Marilyn EVANS of Federal Way; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Life Friends Church. Davies Cremation and Burial Services are in charge of arrangements.
