NOTICE of DEATH - EDNA E. SICKELS

Edna E. SICKELS, 90, of Mount Ayr died July 12, 2006, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr. Services are pending at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr.

EDNA E. (MOSIER) SICKELS

Edna E. SICKELS, 90, of Mount Ayr died July 12, 2006, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 14, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Edward SHIELDS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in her name.

Edna SICKELS, daughter of Cora (LESAN) and Ike MOSIER, was born January 8, 1916, near Mount Ayr. On December 9, 1933, Edna married Roy E. SICKELS in Clarinda. She lived most of her life in Ringgold County. After her marriage, they lived in Denver, Colo., and Santa Monica, Calif., for a brief time before returning to Ringgold County. She was a homemaker and worked as a nurses aide.

Survivors include five children, Carroll (wife Shirlee) SICKELS of Broomfield, Colo., Robert (wife Kay) SICKELS and Bill AYRES (significant other Deb AYRES), all of Mount Ayr, and Jack (wife Reta) SICKELS and Janice RITTER, all of Creston; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband on December 7, 1987; five brothers, Verne, George, Dick, Rex and Charles MOSIER; and sister Bobbie.
