FOUND DEAD in a STABLE.

James SHOCKLEY, a young man about twenty years of age, living with his mother at Kellerton was found dead in a shed adjoining Albert EGLEY's barn on last Friday morning. Mr. SHOCKLEY was last seen alive on Thursday evening. He ate his supper at the home of his brother-in-law, Miles SHANER, and started to go up town to pass the evening with friends. It appears that he was subject to to epileptic fits for a number of years and it is supposed that his death resulted from a violent attack of one of them. When first discovered on Friday morning by Joe EURITT, he was lying with his face down and death's convulsions had evidently caused no pain.

As the circumstances surrounding his death were of such a peculiar character, Coroner FOX was summoned to look into the case. He went over to Kellerton Friday but as no marks of violence could be found about his person, he decided not to impannel a coroner's jury and no inquest was held. The supposition that his death was caused by an epileptic fit is in all probability correct.

The deceased was well known in Kellerton and vicinity and possessed an amiable disposition and was well liked by all who knew him. The funeral rites were performed on Saturday by Rev. MILLER, and a large number of sympathizing friends were present to pay the last sad tribute to the departed one.
