OBITUARY - SANDRA (BRENIZER) SHIELDS

Sandra SHIELDS, 60, of Ellston died December 26, 2006, at her home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 30, at Mount Ayr First Christian Church. The Rev. John BRILLO, the Rev. Paul SNETHEN and the Rev. Linda SNETHEN will officiate the service. Burial will be in Tingley Cemetery. There is open visitation after 2 p.m. Friday with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. Memorials may be given in her name.

Sandra SHIELDS, daughter of Helen Mae (EAKES) and Wayne BRENIZER, was born July 20, 1946, in Leon. She graduated from Lamoni High School in 1964 and Southwestern Community College nursing school.

On April 23, 1967, Sandra married Ronald A. SHIELDS in Lamoni. She worked as a nurse at area hospitals, including Greater Regional Medical Center. Sandra and her husband owned and operated FS Grain and Feed where she was a bookkeeper and truck driver. She was a member of Ellston United Methodist Church, Ringgold County Farm Bureau and Ringgold Cattlemen Association.

Survivors include her husband Ronald A. SHIELDS of Ellston; three daughters, Tisha (husband David) DAVIS of Fontanelle, Tricia (husband Michael) JACKSON of Kirksville, Mo., and Teena (husband Justin) JONES of Mount Ayr; son Russell SHIELDS of Ellston; two brothers, Raymond (wife Nancy) BRENIZER of Leon and Eldon (wife Diane) BRENIZER of Decatur; two sisters, Thelma (husband Eugene) WEBB of Lamoni and Rhonda COOK of Harris, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, George and Christine BRENIZER and George and Gertrude EAKES.
