NOTICE of DEATH.

Adaline SEATON was born in Green county, Pennsylvania July 13, 1837, the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (HAMMERS) HARTLEY, and departed this life September 17, 1924. She married Franklin M. SEATON March 16, 1867 in Pennsylvania. Four children were born to this union, Samuel H., Elizabeth L., Benjamin F., and Hugh K.

They left Greene County, Pennsylvania around 1875 with a large migration from that area, settling in Maloy and Blockton areas in Ringgold and Taylor counties in Iowa.

Interment was at Forrest Home Cemetery.

NOTE: Adaline was the second wife of Franklin M. SEATON who was born in 1832, Greene County, Pennsylvania, and died in 1903 in Ringgold County with interment at Oak Ridge (a.k.a. Forrest Home) Cemetery. Of Adaline (HARTLEY) and Franklin M. SEATON's children:

Samuel HARTLEY was born June 16, 1870, Greene County, Pennsylvania, and died February 19, 1953, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa with interment at Forrest Home Cemetery beside his wife, Sarah Adelaide "Addie" BENNETT. Addie was the daughter of Edwin BENNETT, who was born October 8, 1871, Ringgold County, Iowa, and died May 17, 1952, Des Moines. They were interred at Oak Ridge (a.k.a. Forrest Home) Cemetery. Samuel and Addie married July 3, 1900 and were the parents of one son, Clay Webster SEATON. Samuel graduated in 1897 from the Des Moines Higland Park College of Pharmacy and ran the drug store in Delphos, Iowa, until 1901 when he sold out to Ben SEATON and took up farming.

Elizabeth Leona SEATON was born September 9, 1872, Greene County, Pennsylvania, and died at the age of 29 on January 5, 1902, Ringgold County with interment at Oak Ridge (a.k.a. Forrest Home) Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.

Benjamin Franklin SEATON was born October 15, 1874, Greene County, Pennsylvania,and died December 7, 1959 with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa. Benjamin married Fannie Elizabeth STEDMAN on November 28, 1900, and they became the parents of two sons.

Hugh Keenan SEATON was born July 28, 1876, Ringgold County, Iowa, and died November 28, 1964, Delphos, Ringgold County, Iowa with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr. He married on October 17, 1917 to Nettie Mae OMER and they were the parents of three children.

Clay Webster, the son of Samuel Hartley and Sarah Adelaide "Addie" (BENNETT) SEATON was born November 22, 1911 at Redding, Ringgold County, Iowa. Clay married in 1941 to Myrna M. MORSE. Clay was a World War II veteran, serving as a TEC5 in the U.S. Army. He died June 24, 1999 at Austin, Travis County, Texas, with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa.
