OBITUARY - MARY ELIZABETH (YOHO) BELL
Mary Elizabeth YOHO was born in Ringgold county Iowa, January 6, 1863. She passed away in Wichita [KS] July 17 [1949] at the age of 86 years.
She came to Kansas when she was 14-years-old. On February 2, 1881, she was married to Keith Thomas BELL. They homesteaded in Decatur County near Jennings [KS]. Keith died in 1901. Mrs. BELL and some of her children came to Riley county [KS] in 1911. After living two years at Keats they came to Manhattan. From 1944 until very recently she made her home with her daughter near Newton, Ks. She moved to Wichita shortly before her death.
NOTE: Mary Elizabeth (YOHO) BELL was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin YOHO (1836-1893) and Matilda (ANDERSON) YOHO (1839-1906). Benjamin and Matilda married July 23, 1857, Ringgold County, Iowa.
Keith Thomas BELL, son of John Huggins BELL (1818-1907) and Catherine (KEITH) BELL (1821-1894), was born August 12, 1852 in Iowa, and died at age 49 in October 1901. He was interred at Clayton Cemetery near Garfield, Decatur County, Kansas. Keith and Mary Elizabeth were the parents of eleven children:

8) Dora E. (BELL) EVANS, born Nov 1896, KS
9) John B. F. BELL, born Apr 1898, KS
10) Ruth Loane (BELL) STUCK, born May 1900, KS
