OBITUARY - KENNETH DALE MICKAEL

Kenneth Dale MICKAEL was born May 2, 1926 in Mount Ayr, Iowa and passed away October 14, 2007 at his home in Kellerton, Iowa. His parents were Iantha Pearl (WHITE) and Charles MICKAEL, a brother Harold Barton later joined the family.

Kenneth attended schools in Mount Ayr and Kellerton. After school he enlisted in the U.S. Army on November 8, 1945 and was discharged October 18, 1948. After his military days he started working for the U.S. Post Office at the Main Post Office in Des Moines, Iowa.

Lucille Vivian REED and Kenneth were married on May 25, 1955 in the Assembly of God Church in Kellerton, Iowa. Three children were born to this union, Carla, Duane and Arlen. Kenneth and Lucille lived in Des Moines until 1961 when they moved to Kellerton to raise their children. Kenneth drove to Des Moines every day to provide for his loved ones.

Kenneth was a member of the Kellerton American Legion and the #1 Club - #1 Husband – Dad – Grandpa- Brother – Son-in-law and Friend. We will miss him more than words can express!!

Preceding him in death were his parents I. Pearl and Charles; and brother Harold B. “Red” MICKAEL

Left to mourn his passing are his wife Lucille; children Carla, Duane and Arlan; grandchildren Toni, Stephanie, Melissa, Trever, Justin and Elizabeth; great grandchildren Mackenzie, Cody, Jayden and Mason; sister-in-law Beverly MICKEAL, other relatives and many friends.

Services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, Mount Ayr, Iowa, wih Rev. Terry ROBERTS officiating. Musical selections were "Grandpa" by the Judds, "Daddy's Hands" by Holly Dunn and "Almost Like You Never Went Away" by Mel Tillis.

Casket bearers were Duane MICKAEL, Arlan MICKAEL, Terry MUNYON, Kent REED, Justin MICKAEL and Trever MICKAEL.

Kenneth was laid at rest in the Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton, Iowa.
