OBITUARY - Louisa Lucille (WARNER) CLARK MERCER

Louisa Lucille (CLARK) MERCER, daughter of Charles William and Lizzie Jane (ROACH) WARNER was born October 26, 1925 in Worth County, Missouri. She departed this life on January 12, 2008 in the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, IA.

Lucille attended school at Mount Ayr, Iowa and later completed her G.E.D. which was a great accomplishment of which she was very proud. She worked many years as a waitress and in food service. She received great pleasure doing baking, raising flowers and a being a mother and grandmother; she had a grand collection of dolls she enjoyed. She was very happy to have crocheted afghans for all of her grandkids.

Lucille married Roy CLARK on September 10, 1945, 6 children were born to this union. On September 29, 1974 she and Darrel MERCER were united in marriage in Mount Ayr. This union brought 3 more children to her family. They moved to Shell Knob, Missouri in 1978 and returned to Blockton, Iowa in April 2007, to enjoy life with their many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding Lucille in death were her parents, brothers, Harold, Don and Roy WARNER; sisters, Lorene BRENIZER, Doris THOMAS, Ruby McCOY and Lola WEB.

Left to cherish her memory are husband Darrel; sons Bob (Pat) CLARK of Phoenix, AZ, Jerry (Nancy) CLARK of Diagonal, IA, Robert (Louisa) MERCER of Diagonal, Donnie CLARK of Mount Ayr, and Steve (Barb) CLARK of Diagonal; daughters, Juanita (Junior) ADAMS of Mount Ayr, Betty (Dan) JOHNSON of Berryville, AR, Patty (Mike) ROWE of Sheridan, MO and Diane (Ron) STEPHENSON of Eldon, IA; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren who she cherished greatly.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2008 from Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
