OBITUARY - AGNES ROSE (ARIAS) GARCIA

Agnes Rose GARCIA, daughter of Esmael and Estella (ORTEGA) ARIAS, was born June 27, 1955 at Clovis, New Mexico. Agnes graduated from high school in Clovis in 1973 and continued her education at Clovis Community College. In 1976, she married Francisco R. GARCIA in California. They lived in California and New Mexico before moving to Mount Ayr in 2002. She was active in bible studies, Sacred Heart Ministries, and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis. Agnes died January 13, 2007 at Mercy Capital Hospital in Des Moines [Polk Co. IA].

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son Johnny Joe GARCIA; 2 brothers Jude ARIAS and Esmael ARIAS, Jr.; and a sister Lorretta BALDERAS. Survivors include her husband Francisco Garcia of Mount Ayr; three children Adrian GARCIA, Anna Alicia GARCIA, and Javier GARCIA, all of Mount Ayr; 2 sisters Mary ARAGON of Clovis, New Mexico and Jeraldine ZAMORA of California; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Services were held on Friday, January 19, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., St. Joseph Catholic Church of Mount Ayr, Iowa.
