OBITUARY - HAROLD EDWARD MURPHY

Harold Edward MURPHY was born February 1, 1934 at Redding, Iowa to Olin & Emma (STILL) MURPHY. His mother died when Harold was a child and his step-mother, Gladys MURPHY, was vital in his upbringing.

Harold graduated from Redding High School in 1952. He lived most of his adult life in Cumming, Iowa. He was a union machinist in the plating industry. Harold moved back to this area about 12 years ago and has lived in Kellerton.

Harold died June 25, 2008 at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother; and a brother Bob MURPHY.

Survivors include three sons Mike MURPHY & wife Pam, Bill Murphy & wife Kris and Gary MURPHY, all of Des Moines, Iowa; two daughters Lauri BLOSS & domestic partner Steve MURRAY and Barbara JACKSON & husband Kevin all of Winterset, IA; eight grandchildren Patrick MURPHY, Timothy MURPHY, Sarah MURPHY, David MURPHY & wife Amanda, Shannon MURPHY, Jill BLOSS, Collin MURRY, and Amanda ZAHIROVIC; two great grandchildren Asa & Jaden GRAHAM; two brothers Darrell MURPHY & wife Anna of Des Moines, IA and Doyle MURPHY of Mount Ayr; two sisters Dorothy BARBER of Redding, IA and Marlene KELLER of Mount Ayr; nieces, nephews and other relatives & friends.
