OBITUARY - PATRICK MONAGHAN

Patrick MONAGHAN, 53, of Des Moines passed away on October 31, 2008 at his home following a heart attack. He was diagnosed with cancer in June 2008 and had beaten that. He will be cremated.

Patrick was born and raised in Mount Ayr and graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1973. He had lived in Diagonal and then spent 20 years living in Creston. Patrick had been living in Des Moines for the past 6 years. He had worked as a support manager for Wal-Mart and loved to golf, hunt, cheer for the Hawkeyes and spend time with his 7 grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Char; his daughters Nicole (Josh) SUPINGER and Jamie (Chad) HOLMES all of Kellerton; grandchildren Tristan, Darrian, Kaidan, Shealyn, Scout, Rhianna, and Chaddlan; his brothers Mike MONAGHAN of Des Moines and Kelly MONAGHAN of Creston; his sister Katie (Ronche) STILL of Mount Ayr; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Ruth MONAGHAN and his brother Casey MONAGHAN.

Mr. MONAGHAN has been cremated. A memorial fund has been established to the family.
