OBITUARY - MRS. HARRISON

Elva Jane LITTLE was born in Niles, Mich., Aug. 2, 1837, and passed away at her home in Redding, Iowa, Sep. 27, 1910, aged 73 years, 1 month and 25 days. She came with her parents to Illinois where she grew to womanhood and was married.

She was the mother of eleven children. One son, Rev. W[illiam] W. LEWIS, died at his home in St. Paul, Minnesota [illegible].

The other children, four sons and two daughters were present to follow the remains of a loving mother to their lasting place.

The funeral was conducted at the late residence by Rev. G. MILLER, of the United Brethren chruch of Carlisle, Iowa, an old friend of the family, assisted by Rev. W. J. STEWART of the United Presbyterian church.

Mother HARRISON was convverted and united with the United Brethren church when a young woman and will long remembered for her cheerful and kind words of council and comfort. She was never happier than when surrounded by her children [illegible].

NOTE: Elva Jane (LITTLE) LEWIS MALOY HARRISON was interred beside her second husband, David MALOY at Forrest Home Cemetery near Redding, Ringgold County, Iowa.

Elva married 1st Andrew W. LEWIS, born circa 1826 in Missouri. A son, Rev. William W. LEWIS was born to this marriage in 1859, McDonough County, Illinois. In 1880, Andrew LEWIS was still residing in McDonough County, Illinois.

Elva Jane married 2nd in 1863 to David MALOY, the son of James (1793-1850) and Mary (1796- ?) MALOY. David was born in Indiana on March 25, 1819. The MALOY family was residing in Benton Township of Ringgold County, Iowa, by 1870. Elva Jane and David were the parents of Elva A. (MALOY) RICH (1863-1934), Clarence Lincoln "Link" MALOY (1866-1938), Perry Dixon MALOY (1868-1914), John Thompson MALOY (1871-1934), Alfred David MALOY (1873-1950), Mayme A. (MALOY) ROTHWELL (1876-1967), Mary MALOY (1876- ?), and infant daughter MALOY (1880-1880). David died on February 8, 1885, Benton Township, Ringgold County, Iowa.

Elva Jane married 3rd to Mr. HARRISON.
