OBITUARY - MRS. E. W. McPHEETERS.

Miss Josephine EWING was born in Gallia county, Ohio, June 14, 1861, to John and Caroline EWING. her mother died when Josephine was three years old.

Her father and step-mother moved to Worth county, Missouri, in 1864. She was married to Ezra W. McPHEETERS November 9, 1876, at the father's home in Worth county.

She was converted and baptized into the Free Will Baptist faith in the early part of 1877. In August, 1878, she moved with her husband to Lincoln county, Kansas. They returned to Ringgold county, Iowa, in November, 1895, in which county she lived the remaining years of her life, the years since 1914 being spent in Redding. She passed away in her home Sunday, March 11, 1928.

Beside her devoted husband she leaves to mourn her passing two half-sisters, Mrs. Margaret ADAMS of Grant City, Mo., and Mrs. Elizabeth JACKSON of Mount Ayr, Iowa; four half-brothers, Andrew EWING of Mount Ayr, Iowa; John and Eugene of Grant City, Mo., and Ernest EWING of El Paso, Okla. Clay EWING, a full brother, died November 11, 1918, at Alva, Okla., and a half-sister, Mrs. Almira ADAMS, died in February, 1888. A host of relatives and friends in addition mourn the loss of a gracious friend.

NOTE: Ezra Wright McPHEETERS, husband of Josephine (EWING), was born on August 1, 1854, and died December 3, 1928.
