Baccalaureate, graduation set

Baccalaureate and graduation ceremonies have been announced by the Mount Ayr community school district.

Baccalaureate

The annual baccalaureate service in Mount Ayr will be held Wednesday, May 14 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Regular Baptist Church. The ceremony is sponsored by the churches of Ringgold County, and all graduates, their families and friends are invited to attend.

A number of Mount Ayr seniors were involved in teh planning of the service. Seniors will also provide music and take an active role in the ceremony itself. The baccalaureate address will be delivered by Pastor Seth Denney.

Commencement exercises for Mount Ayr seniors will be held Sunday, May 18 beginning at 3 p.m. in the Mount Ayr Community high school gymnasium.
The keynote addresses will be delivered by the class valedictorian [Allison Wallace] and salutatorian [Leah Klejch], but those positions had not been finalized by press time.
