NEWS OF MEN in the ARMED SERVICES

Seaman Recruit David R. ADAMS, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin A. ADAMS of Mount Ayr, has been graduated from nine weeks of navy basic training at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, Calif. In the first weeks of his naval service he studied military subjects and lived and worked under conditions similar to those he will encounter on his first ship or at his first shore station.

Mrs. Betty TEALE, her son, Pfc. Tim TEALE, and Sandra KELLER, of Columbus, Ohio, came Sunday for a visit with his grandmother, Mrs. Paul TEALE. Private TEALE returned recently from a tour of duty in Germany.
