Brown Reunion

The annual BROWN reunion was held August 17 at the Ellston community building in Ellston.

There were 60in attendance. Michelle BLANKENSHIP traveled the greatest distance. Berniece CARROLL was the oldest and Grant STAATS the youngest.

There were six graduations, one marriage and four births reported.

A great potluck dinner was enjoyed by all. They celebrated Verna MARTIN'S birthday and sang "Happy Birthday" to her and helped her eat her cake.

Those in attendance were as follows: Reta, Larry and Tracy FREIHAGE and Fred, Janell, Grant and Lauria STAATS, all of Ellston; Gale BROWN of Neola; Marion Creveling, Bob and Verna MARTIN, Barb and Steve CLARK, Doris TODD, Randell BROWN and Howard, Craven and Kyler MARTIN, all from Mount Ayr.

Dwain BROWN, Ryan DORNBUSCH and Danny HAWKINS of Pleasant Hill; George and LARetta NOVAK and Scott MOORE of Creston; Jeniffer and Mark OVERTON of Des Moines; Berniece CARROLL and Glenna BURKHART of Eldon; Junior CARROLL of Lincoln, NE; Jim NOVACK and Lois IBBOTSON of Tingley; Tristin NOVAK of Fort Dodge; Jamie and Garrett STORHOFF of Ames;

Katherine and Karla BROWN of Wagoner, SD; Mary and Ed BLANKENSHIP of Atwater, OH; Michelle BLANKENSHIP of New York; Toni and Nate TAYLOR, Andy FREIHAGE and Mary HARRIS, all of Grand River, Vic and Linda BROWN of Estherville; Deb, Carl and Valerie NORMAN of Ankeny; Carmen and Brian FOLAND of Murray; Brian and Laurie ROBINSON of Runnells; Mark, Teresa and Emily DORNBUSH and David and Sharon ROBINSON, all of Altoona; and Linda, Arlan and Allison BROWN and Niel FRASER, all of Indianola.

The 2014 reunion will be held the third Saturday in August at the same location.
