Four teachers tell plans to leave MAC schools

Teachers with a combined 85 years of service to the school district are retiring or resigning. Three retirements and one resignation were approved by the school board with thanks to the teachers for their service to the district.

Retiring and seeking early retirement benefits were James SAVILLE, social studies teacher who has taught in the district for 36 years, and art instructor John NEWTON, who has taught in the district for 19 years.

Marian JENNINGS, special education teacher, who has taught in the district for 27 years, is also retiring this year.

Also resigning is elementary teacher and coach Judy BOARD, who has taught in the district for five years.
