Contestants from five states participated in the Great Western Bank sheep dog trials held in Tingley recently. Very hot weather didn't deter a large crowd that was served hamburgers by the Ringgold County Cattlemen before watching the open pro division of the contest.
Three-year-old Jaycee KNIGHT sang the national anthem to kick off the event.
Pro winners: John HILMAN, Clay Center NE; Nyle SEALING, Princeton MO; Tracy MILLER, Spearfish SD.
Pro-novice winners: Bob JOHNSON, Tingley; Alise DART, Seward NE; John HOLMAN, Clay Center NE.
Novice winnrs: John OVERHOLTZER, Tingley; Jan MOORE, Sedalia MO; and Joel HOLLATZ, Centerville.
