J. V. Carlton, 87, Dies At Griswold: Early Resident
James V. Carlton, 87, old time resident of Griswold and retired business man, died early this morning at the family home after an illness of several months. He is survived by Mrs. Carlton, one daughter, Mrs. A. G. Arrasmith, Ida Grove, Ia., three sons, John, Salt Lake City, Utah, Harley, Lodi, Calif., and Harry of Griswold. No arrangements have been made for the funeral. The body is at the Wagler Funeral Home in Griswold.

Funeral Notices – Rites for J. V. Carlton
Griswold – Services for James V. Carlton, 87, were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Griswold Methodist church, Rev. W. H. Warrior, the pastor, officiating, and burial was in the Griswold Cemetery. Music was furnished by a quartet including Mrs. H. H. Rousseau, Mrs. Fred B. DeWitt, O. O. Book and Wayne Webster, Mrs. H. D. Turner was accompanist. Casket bearers were John Weston, Milo H. Cook, Frank Burwell, Frank Schofield, James Lary and Harry Mueller.
