MARGARET ELLEN URICH Des Moines

Margaret Ellen Urich, 69, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006, at the Taylor House after a 14 year battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, with burial following at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Bob Urich; a son, Jon (Susie) Urich; three daughters, Jodi Urich, Lori (Bob) Hargens and Linda (Greg) Baker; six grandchildren, Mike Colyn, Tanner Hargens, Ashley Urich, Rob Urich, Sarah Baker and J.R. Baker; niece, Valerie Pettus; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Marvin and Mabel Gillman. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Shreck, the Taylor House Hospice and their staffs. A celebration of life, following the graveside service, will be held at 4211 N.E. 38th Street in Des Moines.
