Susan Jane Sturm, age 56, passed away on October 2, 2013, at Jefferson Medical Center, Ranson, W.V. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00pm, Wednesday November 27, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church, 3700 Cottage Grove Ave., Des Moines.

She was born on August 3, 1957 in Greenfield, Iowa to Phillip O. and Doris Jean (Wilson) Sturm.

Susan worked as a care-giver her whole life, she gave love, unconditionally to everyone she met. She worked for many years at Iowa Methodist Hospital, and later at the Creative Center for Young Children. She was a graduate of Stuart-Menlo High School in Stuart, Iowa, class of 1976. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Trent and wife Nancy Sturm of Charles Town, WV, David Sturm and Irene Mikkelsen of Saratoga, WY, her nieces and nephew, Sarah and her husband Rod Lydick, Joseph and his wife Rebecca Sturm, their daughter Amelia, Stephanie and her husband Bert Roberts, and many friends
