Violet Lucille Thoren, 94, passed away October 23, 2013 at ManorCare in West Des Moines.

Violet is survived by her daughter, Jeanne McWilliams; her son, Michael (Rhonda) Brouillet; eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Orval; her son, Ronald; a grandson, John; her parents; and five siblings.

Violet was cherished by those she leaves behind. She was a devout Christian and a kind, loving person who always put her children and family first. A graveside memorial to celebrate Violet's life will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery on November 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
