Livingston, Sara Catherine Jamison - 1918-2011

Catherine Livingston, 93, passed away at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines on October 17, 2011.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Hamilton's Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Born March 10, 1918 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, Sara Catherine Jamison was the daughter of Frank and Jessie (Wycoff) Jamison. She grew up and graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1937. On June 26, 1938 she was united in marriage to William Livingston, to this union two daughters were born, Judy and Vera.
Catherine was a member of the Auxiliary UTU Lodge 353, Order of the Eastern Star, and the 1st Presbyterian Church in Marshalltown. She enjoyed crafts, playing and listening to music, but most of all spending time with her family.
Catherine is survived by her daughters, Judy (Larry) Osborne, and Vera (Ted) Matteson; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren; and a brother, Frank Jamison Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Livingston in 2008; parents; a sister; and one grandson.
