Viola W. Struthers, 99, of Ankeny, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, September 14, 2011. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 19, at Memorial Services of Iowa, with burial following, at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.

Viola was born January 12, 1912, in Boone, Iowa and graduated from Boone High School. She married Leonard Struthers February 28, 1942, and they lived in Boone until 1957, when they moved to Ankeny.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Scandia Savings & Loan, Fortune Laboratories, and Grace Track Service. She also owned and operated Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio, in Ankeny. Viola is survived by her two sons, Bill Struthers, of Yellville, AR, and Jon (Alice) Struthers of Elkhart; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; one brother and one granddaughter.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, September 13, in the Memorial Services of Iowa chapel (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd.). Memorials may be made to the Elkhart Christian Church.
