Ryan McConnell, 27, was called home by his heavenly angels on Friday, January 13, 2012 at his home in Des Moines, IA. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Ankeny Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. with cremation to take place following services.

Ryan graduated from Bondurant High School in 2002 and from The Iowa School of Beauty in 2010. He was an excellent cosmetologist.

Survivors include his mother, Becky Maire of Ankeny, IA; father, Larry (Velvet) McConnell of Mitchellville, IA; brother, Joe (Kayla) McConnell of Bondurant, IA; and their children, Hudson, Afton, Haydon and Benson; sister, Nicole McConnell of Mitchellville, IA; grandparents, Melvin and Phyllis Maire, Ken and Betty McConnell of Ankeny, IA; and his fiance' John Herweh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
