Cheryl Quintero, 66, of Le Mars, Iowa, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Pastor Mike Metten from Rejoice! Community Church in Le Mars will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Cheryl Susan Van Voorst, the daughter of Garrett ‘John’ and Arlene (Morehead) Van Voorst, was born on April 17, 1959 in Minnesota. Cheryl worked as a med aide for over 30 years at Le Mars area nursing homes.

Cheryl enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, attending rummage sales, and getting her nails done. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She loved taking care of them and others.

Survivors include her siblings: Ken (Marilyn) Van Voorst of Las Vegas, NV, and Al ‘Dick’ (Caroline) Van Voorst of Rodney, IA; nieces and nephews: James (Brandi) Van Voorst, Jeremiah (Jenny) Van Voorst, Lindsey (Alonso) Hernandez, Josh (Mindy) Van Voorst, Becky (Alan) Wieder, Theresa (Bob) Blake, Ann Van Voorst, Corrin Heaton, and Callie Port; great nieces and nephews: Damien, Alonso, Ben, Gerritt, James John, Jessica, Alyvia, and Arebella; sister in law, Judy Van Voorst; and other extended relatives.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, John and Arlene; two brothers: Ron Van Voorst and Dale Van Voorst; niece, Christina Van Voorst; and great nephew, Jonathan Van Voorst.
