DEATH OF MRS. EBERHARD
Had Lived All Her Life in Plymouth County
Merrill Record: Mrs. J. J. Eberhard died at her home seven miles southwest of Merrill yesterday morning of pneumonia. She had been sick several days but shortly before her death seemed to be somewhat better and hopes were entertained that she would be spared to her family, but the All Wise Father took her to the Heavenly Home where sorrow pain and sickness is no more.
Mrs. J. J. Eberhard, or Mary Kallas (actually Kalas), was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kalas, well known pioneer residents of Liberty township. She was about thirty-five years old and lived practically all her life in this county.
Besides her aged mother, she leaves her husband and four children, three boys and one girl ranging in age from about four years to fourteen. She also has several brothers and other relatives living in this vicinity and other points in Iowa.
The funeral which was private was held Friday and interment was made in the LeMars cemetery. Mr. Eberhard and family have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in his sad hour of affliction.
