Note: She is buried in Mountain View Cemetery Rapid City, Pennington County, South Dakota. She a daughter of Olaus and Anna (Anderson) Nilson and used to live at one time in the Akron area. Her brother are August Nilson and Dagmar (Nilson) Bredall buried in the Riverside Cemetery.
Resident Since 1878 Passes Away Friday
Anna Nielsina was born, in Denmark in 1860, died in Rapid City January 6, 1922, aged sixty-one years and seven months. When a child she came to this country and with her parents and the family settled near Richland Center on the Iowa line. In 1878 deceased married Alexander Wallin, and Mr. Wallin came to the Black Hills in that year in the fall of the year Mrs. Wallin joined her husband here, where she has lived ever since, with the exception or living near Farmingdale on a claim for a few months.
Three children came to bless this union, two of whom are living, William of Faringdale and Andrew of Akron, Iowa. One daughter Amanda, died six years ago on January 9. Mr. Wallis died six years previous to the death of his daughter. There are three grandchildren to mourn a grandmother's death.
Deceased also leaves her mother, eighty-seven years of age two sisters and a brother at Akron, Ia.
Deceased could tell many hardships here in the early days. She was brave and ready to do anything that come along to help make it possible to educate her children. She has been in por health for a number of months and for nine weeks past has been seriously ill, under the care of a nurse. The first of the week she seemed much better but the end came suddenly Friday afternoon.
Funeral services will be held in the Swedish church Monday at 1:30 o'clock, Rev. Andrewson officiating.
Andrew Wallin and wife are expected to arrive from Iowa this morning to attend the funeral of their mother. Interment will be by the side of her husband and daughter.
