Mr. Edor (Minnie) Johnson

Mrs. Carl Edor Johnson, 87, Akron, died Wednesday (Oct. 19, 1983) in the Akron city hospital of a brief illness.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in the Immanuel Lutheran church in Akron. The Rev. Benard Nelson officiated. Vocalist was Robert Brown and organist was Carol Harris. Burial was in Riverside cemetery under direction of the Schroeder funeral home in Akron. A prayer service was held at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Milton Anderson, Stanley Anderson, Henry Anderson, Marlin Johnson, Dennis Johnson and Darwin Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson, the former Minnie Johnson was born August 2, 1896, in Sioux City. She married Carl Edor Johnson May 22, 1922, in Sioux City. They farmed near Akron for many years. He died November 6, 1946. She moved to town in 1947 and to the Akron nursing home in 1975.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church, LCW, Legion auxillary and a charter member of the Home Culture club.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, Mary Anderson, Hazel Johnson, and Anna Anderson; and two brothers Frank Johnson and Harry Johnson.
