Miss Ida Ahrendt and Jack J. Petersen, both of LeMars, exchanged marriage vows at a simple ceremony performed at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, by the Rev. G. Meyer in St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Johnson township.
Miss Ahrendt is the daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Ahrendt and Mr. Petersen is the son of Mrs. John Petersen.
The bride was attired in a blue ensemble as was her matron of honor. Both wore shoulder arrangements of pink carnations.
Mrs. Petersen is a graduate of the LeMars high school and is employed at the Vander Meer bakery. Mr. Petersen graduated from the Merrill high school and is farming south of Merrill.
After a brief wedding trip, the couple will be at home to their friends at 315 First avenue northwest.
