Brennan Heads Ruthven Bank

William Brennan, Ruthven banker, was elected president of the Ruthven State Bank at the institution's recent annual meeting. He is been associated with the bank [since ] it was organized.

Brennan is probably the oldest banker in the county in point of banking service. In 1917 he joined one of the Ruthven banks as a clerk. Almost continuously since then, with some time out during depression days when the town was without a bank, he has served the Ruthven territory as its banker.

The state banks footings reached an all-time high during the past year under Brennan's direction. Another advancement at the annual meeting was the promotion of Richard Carpenter, formerly of Emmetsburg, to the post of Cashier.
