Victor Fink, the son of Henry and Dora (Schaffer) Fink, was born in Osceola County, Iowa on January 28, 1915. He spent his youth and attended school in the Melvin vicinity. During World War II he served four years In the United States Army.

On June 11, 1947 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Hansen at the Methodist Church at Melvin, Iowa. He spent his lifetime in the Melvin community and was employed as a seed corn salesman. He passed away on May 25, 1985 at the Osceola Community Hospital at Sibley, Iowa at the age of 70 years, three months and 27 days

He is survived by his wife, of Melvin, children, Gregory Fink of Glencoe, Minn. and Rosemary Fink of Ashton; one grandchild, sisters, Lily Guertin of Forest Lake, Minn. and Ruby Heiller of Ocheyedan, Ia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Melvin.

Funeral services were held May 28 at the United Methodist Church at Melvin with Rev. Leon Wallace officiating.

Casket bearers were Raymond Gonnerman, Steve Wachtel, Virgil Knock, Roger Remmers, Randy Benz and Calvin Benz.

The congregation sang the hymns, "How Great Thou Art" and "Rock of Ages." Mrs. LaVonne Van Houten was organist.

Internment was at Baker Township Cemetery, Melvin with graveside devices conducted by Guthrie Post No.470 American Legion.

The Sanborn Funeral Home was in charge.
