Anna Puhrmann Warnke Obituary

Funeral services were held here Oct. 3 for Mrs. Fred Warnke who died the previous Monday at Grossman hospital in Orange City Services were held at the Gaudian Funeral Home at 1:30 and at Zion Lutheran church at 2:00 with the Rev. Mr. Paul Sohn officiating. Burial was in Prairie View cemetery.

Anna M. Puhrmann was born April 11, 1877 at Bloom, Illinois. Early in life she moved to O'Brien County with her parents. On June 12, 1898 she was married to Fred Warnke at Germantown, who survives her. They had made their home in Paullina for many years and had lived in this community all of their married life with the exception of a few years immediately after marriage. They moved back from Cherokee to O'Brien County in 1905.

Mrs. Warnke was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a life-long member of the church. Mrs. Warnke is survived by her husband, four sons, Arthur, Richard, Roy and Walter, all of Paullina. A daughter, Ella, and son Raymond preceded her in death Also surviving are seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Henry Puhrmann of Sutherland and Arthur Puhrmann of Paullina; two sisters, Mrs. William Appeldorn of Paullina and Mrs. Lillian Miller, Marcus. A brother and sister preceded her.
