Graveside services for Miriam Boden, 96, West Liberty, were held March 11, 1996 at the Oak Ridge cemetery, with the Rev. Ralph Farmer officiating.

Mrs. Boden died March 7 at the Simpson Memorial Home.

The daughter of Fred and Ina Peters Wolf, she was born March 10, 1899 in West Liberty. She married John G. Boden Sept. 6, 1923.

The couple operated an insurance agency in West Liberty for several years.

Mrs. Boden was a lifelong resident of West Liberty. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a member and past chief of the Pythian Sisters, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Floriculture Society.

She is survived by a sister, Zona Scott, Davenport; a niece and her husband, Shirley and Walter Lehman, West Liberty; and great-nephew, Tom and his wife Susan Lehman, West Liberty. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers and a sister.

Memorials may be made to the West Liberty Rescue Unit.
