Mrs. Albert Othmer, a former resident of Wapello, passed away Monday at 12:30 a. m. in Davenport, death being due to influenza pneumonia. She became ill last Thursday with influenza which developed into pneumonia. Mrs. Othmer, formerly Blanche Van Horn, was born in Louisa county 36 years ago and lived in Wapello for a number of years. In February 1909, she was married in Albert Othmer, of Muscatine and the family lived in Muscatine until six years ago when they moved in Davenport. While in Muscatine she joined the Baptist church and was prominent in the Royal Neighbor lodge.

Deceased is survived by her husband, her father, John Van Horn, two sons, Claude and Albert and three brothers, Frank Van Horn, of Oakland, Cal; Jay and Will Van Horn, of Ft. Dodge. Funeral services were held from the Baptist church in Muscatine yesterday afternoon and interment made in the Greenwood cemetery.
