Funeral services for Dennis W. Stimmel, 44, Wilton, were held Jan. 22, 1996 at Zion Lutheran church in Wilton, with Pastor Keith Speaks officiating. Pallbearers were Leo Ochiltree, Tom Oien, Robert Sours, Rich Beck, Kevin Wells and Bruce Walker. Honorary pallbearers were Dick Ballou and Dennis Anderson. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery, Wilton.

Mr. Stimmel died Jan. 18 at Muscatine General hospital.

The son of William and Bernice Lincoln Stimmel, he was born Sept. 17, 1951 in Muscatine.

Mr. Stimmel was employed at Eastern Iowa Light and Power Co. in Wilton.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran church in Wilton, where he was a member of the audio-video committee. He enjoyed walking and bowling.

Mr. Stimmel is survived by his parents; 2 daughters, Amy and Erica Stimmel, both of Wilton; 2 brothers, Daryl, Wilton and Gary, Moscow; and 2 nephews, Alex and Evan Stimmel, Wilton.

Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran church and the Wilton First Responders.
