Funeral services for Lucille Keith, 86, West Liberty, were held Dec. 28, 1995 at St. Joseph Catholic church in West Liberty, with the Rev. Tim Bernemann officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery.
Mrs. Keith died Dec. 25 at Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty, following a long illness.
The daughter of George and Margaret Daly Yedlik, she was born Feb. 25, 1909 in Lone Tree. She married Harold Keith April 28, 1928 in Lone Tree. He died in 1967.
Mrs. Keith worked at the Globe Cafe, Central Cafe, Potter and Weber, and Miller's Department Store, all in West Liberty.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church in West Liberty and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Keith is survived by a son and his wife, James and Bonnie Keith, Iowa City; a daughter and her husband, Donna and Bud Freers, Muscatine; a daughter-in-law, Colleen Keith, Iowa City; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Richard; 2 sisters, 2 brothers, a granddaughter, and a great-grandson.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic church, Simpson Memorial Home, or the West Liberty Rescue Unit.
