Funeral services for Irene Schult, 72, Durant, were held Nov. 9, 1993 at the Lacock-Bentley Funeral Home in Durant, with the Rev. David Lawson officiating. Mabyn Fox was the organist and Henry Bentley was the vocalist. Pallbearers were Bruce, Bryan, Jerry, Randy and Allen Kroeger, and Doug and Ron Wendt. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Mrs. Schult died Nov. 6 at Mercy hospital in Davenport.

The daughter of Emil and Mabel Meier Kroeger, she was born Dec. 3, 1920. She married Chris Schult Dec. 1, 1945 in Davenport.

She and her husband farmed in Muscatine county. She enjoyed her grandchildren.

Mrs. Schult is survived by her husband, a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Carol Schult, Durant; 3 grandchildren; a sister, Henrietta (Mrs. Elmer) Wenndt, Wheatland; and 3 brothers, LeRoy, Stockton; Henry, Tipton; and Raymond, Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Durant ambulance or the Durant cemetery.
