Funeral services for Alice H. Owen, 85, West Liberty, were held Jan. 13, 1992 at St. Joseph Catholic church in West Liberty, with the Rev. Michael Colonnese officiating. Mrs. Patricia Daufeldt was the organist. Pallbearers were Thomas Brooke, Steve Howe, Tom Kaalberg, Jack Simon, Robert Brooke and Walter Lehman. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery, West Liberty.

Mrs. Owen died Jan. 10 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City.

The daughter of Louis and Mary Schneider Rose, she was born March 10, 1906 in Riverside. She married Ramond Owen. He died in 1963. The couple farmed in Cedar county for many years.

Mrs. Owen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the North Prairie Social Club.

She is survived by a son, Don Owen, West Liberty; a sister, Leona Swift, Davenport; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons, 3 brothers, a sister and a great-grandson.
