Violet Lincoln 1918-1991

Last rites for Violet "Lorraine" (Mrs. Ernest) Lincoln, 73, were held at the Lacock Funeral Home, Wilton, Nov. 29, 1991 with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery, Wilton. Pallbearers were Marvin Lincoln, Harold Wiggins, William (Doc) Peirce, Gary McKillip, Jerry Smith and Tim Zinger. Honorary bearers were Harold (Dutch) Boorn, Willard Smull, Howard Murrison and Mike Peirce. Memorials have been established with the Muscatine Hospice or the Wilton Methodist church.

Mrs. Lincoln died at the Wilton Nursing Home, Nov. 26.

The daughter of E. Mack and Gladys Wagner Hood, she was born in Aledo, Ill. Jan. 16, 1918. She married Ernest M. Lincoln in Aledo Aug. 17, 1935. She worked at Louis Rich in West Liberty and Pioneer Seed in Durant.

She was a member of the Wilton Methodist church, the Ruthean circle of the church, Wilton Senior Citizens and the Golden Age club.

She is survived by a son, James, Wilton; a daughter, Virginia Lois (Mrs. Franklin) Pallischeck, Moscow; 2 brothers, Jack and Mack Hood, Adelo, Ill.; 2 sisters, Verna (Mrs. Mel) DeVelbiss, Redsport, Ore. and Frances, (Mrs. John) Christie, Galena, Mo.; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband May 18, 1979 and a great-grandchild.
