Mrs. Alfred (Pearl Elizabeth) Golden, 83, of 641 North A St., died Saturday at the Ottumwa Hospital.
She was born at Willow Springs, Mo., on Oct. 19, 1893, the daughter of Owen and Lillian McMann Bringman. She was married to Noah McFarland and he died in 1918. She married Alfred Golden in 1921 and he died in 1958.
Surviving are two sons, Henry Golden of Albia, and E.G. McFarland of Missouri; two step-sons, Jim Golden of Zelma, and George Golden of California; three daughters, Mrs. Loweta Glenn and Mrs. Louise Weston, both of Albia, and Mrs. Wonda Baal of Ottumwa; 28 grandchildren," and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, one brother, and two sisters.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the First Christian Church with Rev. Laverne Leigh officiating. Burial will be in the Oak View Cemetery. The body is at the Humeston Funeral Home.
