Harold Alfred Christianson
June 22, 1932 - August 25, 2021Harold A. Christianson, 89 of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family. Funeral Service will be held 10:30am Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Albaton, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Harold was born on June 22, 1932, to Haakon and Helga Christianson on a farm near Sloan. He was the last surviving child of eight other children. Harold lived most of his life in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. He married Doris (Dorie) Christianson on June 11, 1966, his mother’s birthday. Harold was a humble, happy, hardworking entrepreneur and family man. He and his wife had many successful small businesses locally.
They had 8 children, Mike (Michelle) Christianson of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, who have 4 children and 6 grandchildren, Jody Christianson (deceased infant), Kim (Lynn) Delaney of McCook Lake, South Dakota, who have 6 children and 12 grandchildren, Karen Sundberg Conaway (deceased), she had 2 children and 4 grandchildren, Sharon Sundberg (deceased child), Pat Christianson and Beth Brickell of Woodland Park, Colorado, who have 6 children and 8 grandchildren, Chris (Marvin) Pottebaum of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa who have 3 children and 3 grandchildren, and Jo TallBull of Centennial, Colorado, has 2 children.
We could chronicle his long life here; however, we know that if you knew him you loved him. His ever-present smile and loving heart are indeed his greatest legacy. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes.
