Daniel Dale Snodgrass, 76, of Ralston, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in Omaha, Nebraska.

A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Michael Lewis officiating. (Social distancing measures must be followed, Due to Covid-19 restrictions- Masks are required for the visitation and service.) Burial will follow in the Spring Valley Cemetery, Moorhead, Iowa. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy and the David McNeill American Legion Post #129 of Onawa, Iowa. Family and Friends are invited to the United Methodist Church in Pisgah, Iowa, for a boxed luncheon and fellowship immediately following the committal service. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Monday, February 22, 2021 at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Daniel was born in Nebraska City, Nebraska on Aug 9, 1944 the son of E. Dale and Margaret (Hull) Snodgrass. He graduated from Pisgah High School in 1962. Daniel was baptized in the Wildewood Christian Church.

Following high school, Daniel served in the United States Navy aboard a Destroyer stationed in Key West, Florida from 1963 to 1967. He was honorably discharged with the Rank of Radio Man 2nd class and was a member of American Legion Post 408 in Pisgah, Iowa for fifty years.

On April 7, 1968, Daniel was united in marriage to Linda Hazel Wallis at Moorhead Christian Church in Moorhead, Iowa.

In 1968, Daniel went into partnership with his father in their trucking business, Snodgrass Inc. in Nebraska City, Nebraska. In 1977 they sold the company to Wynne Transport in Omaha, Nebraska where he continued to work for the next nineteen years. In 1999 Daniel started working at Omaha Steaks where he earned several sales awards. He also developed and enjoyed many lasting relationships with colleagues and customers there over the past twenty-two years.

Daniel and Linda enjoyed traveling to many places, both foreign and domestic. He enjoyed spending time with his family participating in many activities through the years with his sons and grandchildren. He also enjoyed game nights and cards with friends.

Daniel was a loving husband and an excellent role model for his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Linda; his two sons, Dalt (Lisa) Snodgrass of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Kole (Amanda) Snodgrass of Lincoln, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Jake Snodgrass, Lexi Snodgrass, Sebastian Snodgrass, Bray Snodgrass, and Holden Snodgrass; sisters, Gail (JD) Garrens of Omaha, Nebraska and Lori Peiffer of Denver, Colorado; brother-in-law, George (Pat) Wallis of San Antonio, Texas; nine nieces and nephews; and sixteen great- nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Margaret Snodgrass; in-laws, Charles and Hazel Adelle Wallis; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Memorials may be directed in Daniel’s memory to the Pisgah Fire and Rescue Unit in Pisgah, Iowa or the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska.
