Michael “Mike” Dawayne Radloff 1962 - 2021

Michael D. Radloff, age 59, of Ute, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021, at his residence of Ute, Iowa.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 2, 2021, at the St. Clair Township Cemetery of Ute, Iowa, with Pastor Harvey Hanson officiating. The Armstrong - Van Houten Funeral Home of Ute, Iowa, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Michael “Mike” Dawayne Radloff, the son of Fritz and Margaret (Dahmen) Radloff, was born on March 16, 1962, in Missouri Valley, Iowa. He was raised on a farm outside of Pisgah, Iowa, and graduated from Pisgah High School.

After high school Mike farmed with his brother Fred before starting his career at IBP in Dakota City where he was part of Laborers Union Steward Local 222. Over the years Mike was employed with National Carrier of Denison as a mechanic and drove truck for Berne Coop. Mike enjoyed scraping iron and making iron sculptures. He also served as a local fireman on the Ute Fire Department.

On January 1, 2009, an unforeseen accident occurred which left Mike disabled. In 2014 his good friend Steve Butz became his caregiver and looked after Mike making sure he lived his best life. Mike was a member of the Christian Church of Ute, Iowa, until it closed. He then attended the United Church of Christ in Castana, Iowa. Mike loved visiting with folks, collecting International tractors and memorabilia, collecting gum ball machines, and antiques.

Recently Mike kept busy mowing lawns in the summer time and snow removal in the winter.

Mike is survived by his sister Bonnie (Paul) Davis of Missouri Valley, Iowa; his nieces, nephews and extended family; along with close friend & caregiver Steve Butz of Ute, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fritz and Margaret Radloff; brother Fred Radloff; sister-in-law Nancy Radloff; and step-father Robert Larson.
